Laboratory of Bioethics

The Laboratory of Bioethics is a significant and integral part of conducting research in bioethics. It supports the Department’s core educational and research activities, as well as the scientific needs of the Interdepartmental Graduate Program in Bioethics. The Laboratory is housed at the Research and Study Center (KEME), equipped with a specialized library and electronic resources, and operates under the direction of Professor Kostas Koukouzelis, with the participation of two faculty members from the Department, faculty from other departments of the University with research interests in bioethics, undergraduate and postgraduate students, doctoral candidates, and postdoctoral researchers. The Laboratory was initially funded by the EPEAEK II program and is currently financed through revenues generated from the implementation of research projects and through the Research Committee (ELKE) of the University of Crete.
