The Interinstitutional Master’s Program Brain and Mind (MA B&M) brings together scholars from the University of Crete (Departments of Medicine, Computer Science, Philosophy, and Physics) and the Foundation for Research and Technology – Hellas (FORTH; Institutes of Computer Science and Applied and Computational Mathematics), as well as collaborators from other universities and research centers in Greece and abroad.
The aim of the Brain and Mind Master’s Program is to provide a comprehensive, integrated, and interdisciplinary approach to fundamental scientific questions concerning the brain and the emergence of thought, consciousness, and behavior. The Program comprises three scientific approaches, in accordance with international educational practices: (a) Basic Biological Neuroscience https://philosophy.uoi.gr/spoudes/metaptychiakes-spoudes/ddpms-elliniki-filosofia-filosofia-tis-epistimis/s; (b) Computational Neurosciences, Neuroinformatics, and Artificial Intelligence; and (c) Social and Cognitive Neurosciences.
